The Cinnamon Bear: Chapter 6
It’s another Chapter of The Cinnamon Bear for you and your family to enjoy!
A 1937 newspaper ad in the Portland, Oregon Journal read:
Introducing Paddy O’Cinnamon, Santa Claus’s right-hand man! Meet him with Santa in Toyland at Lipman’s… and don’t miss his exciting adventures with Judy and Jimmy (two of the nicest playmates you could want!) over the air every night but Saturday! Early-to-bedders can listen at 6 and stay-up-laters at 7… and some nights you’ll be so anxious to hear how they got the Silver Star back from the wicked Crazyquilt Dragon that you’ll listen twice! And here’s a secret… the Cinnamon Bear is just as excited about meeting you as he can be.
Today: Chapter 6: Sammy Seal
The Wailing Whale explains in song why it enjoys ill health. Crazy Quilt hits on the idea of tickling the polka-dotted Wesley until he coughs up the star. It works, but the star is, in turn, caught by Samuel the Performing Seal, who insists on juggling it on his nose. One final toss of the star into the air, however, attracts Penelope the Pelican, who catches the shiny bit in her beak and flies off.
