I really like the thought you have posted here. There is a lot of special meaning to it.
We also wanted to do something different in celebrating Christmas for the very same reasons. Christmas had lost a lot of its focus even though we tried to center everything around Our Lord.
So we tried something different. We try to celebrate &quot;Christmas&quot; the weekend after Thanksgiving. We decorate and than give gifts to one another in thankfulness. Christmas eve we then give the kids a new Bible, Bible book cover and some neat highlighters,devotional book, or Bible based game and if left us free to focus on the specialness of the Lord&#039;s Birthday. 
It has worked nicely for us.</description>
